Profesional ,pebisnis, 3 L

Profesional, seperti: dosen, dokter (umum, gigi, psikiater, dan spesialis lainnya), notaris, arsitek, tenaga teknis, sampai akuntan, designer, programer, sampai manager dan direktur dan seterusnya, sering berpikir bahwa menjadi pebisnis adalah sesuatu yang enak karena bisa menghasilkan banyak uang dan menjadi kaya.

Menjadi Entrepreneur, kalau sukses, memang bisa membawa keuntungan dan uang yang banyak, tetapi kemungkinan untuk sukses kecil. Jauh lebih banyak yang gagal daripada yang sukses.

Kata orang, kalau dapat A di sekolah jadi dosen, B jadi profesional, dan yang C lah yang akan menjadi pebisnis sukses besar, karena berani mengambil resiko. Memang yang C ada yang sukses besar, tapi sadarkah bahwa yang sukses satu yang gagal mungkin lima puluh orang, yang semuanya juga dapat C?

Pebisnis punya peluang sukses, tetapi banyak sekali kemungkinan gagalnya, bahkan setelah sukses besar bisa saja tiba tiba gagal dan bangkrut, contohnya ada di mana mana. Sebaliknya profesional, secara umum jarang bisa “bangkrut”, karena ilmu dan kapabilitasnya menjadi jaminannya untuk dapat bekerja, dimanapun, dan bahkan pada saat bangkrut perusahaannya.

High Risk High Gain, Low Risk Low Gain. Resiko selalu berbanding lurus dengan pencapaian. Menjadi profesional secara umum lebih “low risk”, pebisnis lebih “high risk”. High risk dan “high failure rate” juga, apalagi pada saat krisis seperti ini.

Mengapa orang jadi profesional dan mengapa jadi pebisnis? Dan pekerjaan apa yang akan dipilih seseorang? Selalu karena 3 L: Lahir, Lingkungan dan Latih.

Lahir, ini adalah bakat dan minatnya, memang ada pada genetiknya. Terlihat akan minatnya yang besar akan sesuatu, dan lebih cepat paham pada satu hal, atau memang prilakunya yang cocok dengan sesuatu pekerjaan. Atau passion nya.

Lingkungan, keadaan sekelilingnya, orang tua, kakak, paman yang mempengaruhinya. Ketika seorang anak dirumah selalu diajak ngobrol soal “cuan”, cara menawar, “kulakan”, untung rugi dan resiko, maka tanpa sadar dia belajar jadi pebisnis.

Latih, pendidikan dan pembelajarannya, baik di kampus, ataupun dalam kehidupan bisnisnya. Banyak pebisnis meniru pekerjaan boss nya, atau karena pendidikan nya, atau karena ikut temannya. Pembelajaran membuat kita menjadi bisa.

Nah, untuk teman2 yang mau menentukan pilihan pekerjaan, pikirkan 3 L ini dan sesuaikan, baik apa yang cocok dengan anda, atau bahkan menciptakan lingkungan dan mengambil pelatihan yang mensukseskan anda. Apakah mau jadi profesional atau pebisnis, kembali kepada anda, bagaimana sikap anda ketika menghadapi resiko dan tantangan? Putuskan yang paling cocok dan pas untuk anda.

Pembelajaran di zaman baru

1. Mendidik anak: Keseimbangan dalam mendidik anak menjadi penting, teknologi harus dibarengi dengan kearifan dan pembelajaran akan kehidupan.

2. Koreksi diri sendiri: Menyadari hal ini, baik untuk menyadarkan diri kita kembali; kembali ke dunia nyata yang lebih realistik, lebih menginjak bumi.

3. Marketing: Jaman baru penuh dengan egoisme dan narsisme, perlu personafikasi target market, harga bukan hal yang utama, pemuasan ego pelanggan akan menjadi kunci sukses marketing.

Belajar mempertanyakan hal2 yang sederhana: Mengapa anak muda di Amerika (dan Indonesia?) suka mamakai topi dibalik, bagian yang melindungi kita dari matahari, malah ditaruh dibelakang? Selamat berpikir dan berkomentar. Salam.

1. Penunjukan pembangkangan, melawan otoritas, tidak mau menerima sebuah kemapanan. Selalu ada pada anak muda dan remaja, celana jeans robek, sepatu kumel, bahkan pernah sesaat: baju yang dibalik memakainya.
Bahkan Joger buat dis-marketing, dari slogan2nya: beli tidak beli tetap thank you, maksimum beli 12 barang, bali baik joger jelek, anda waras kalau beli di joger, lebih waras kalau tidak beli, dan seterusnya.

2. Sikap berani, siapa takut matahari, dan siapa perduli, karena semua harus pake topi, aku ya pake juga, tapi kan aku tidak takut matahari. Seperti orang berani memakai anting2 di bibir, hidung, dan pusar.

3. Berbeda, tidak mau sama dengan orang lain.

4. Keren, Ini sering bersamaan dengan trend, mode, mengejar “cool”, keren. Dan dalam perjalanannya, menjadi sebuah kebiasaan, mejadi “dress-code”, pada kelompok tertentu. Seperti gaya salaman yang berbeda, atau “high-five” nya anak muda.

5. Ikut2an, nah ini kelompok terbanyak, “social proof”, asal ikut orang lain.
